魔术

I was greeted in Beijing by lovely smiling Emma.  Her husband couldn’t join us, as he had to work, but Emma had arranged for a friend of hers, another Lulu (Lu), to join us for Peking duck – because I had told her I liked it.

Claire

Claire had asked to meet up, so in the evening I joined her and Ana for dinner.  It was lovely to catch up with them again (especially Claire, because I had already seen Ana in Beijing :p  ).

We talked for a long while, even after Ana had left for her hour-long journey home, but I can’t really remember what we talked about now, which is sad, because I feel perhaps that means it wasn’t of much importance :'(

When we parted, I headed to the metro thinking I had enough time to catch the last one, but it turned out I was too late – it seems my app had the wrong times.… Read more...

鼓浪屿

Today Albert and Pansy took me to Gulangyu (鼓浪屿), an islet to the South-West of Xiamen island, between the island and the mainland.  Albert reminisced about going to the Isle of Wight.

We wandered around the island to the sound of cicadas and various birds, and we saw some island cats…
